Sparkle-Dent

Call or email and we can ship Sparkle-Dent to your home.

Directions For Use: Remove dentures from mouth and brush loose food particles from dentures. Dissolve one capful of Sparkle-Dent into denture cup with enough water to cover dentures. Stir solution thoroughly and let dentures soak for 20 minutes.

Extremely stained dentures with heavy calculus or tartar buildup may require a longer soak, possibly overnight. Sparkle-Dent should be used daily. Sparkle-Dent is highly concentrated and each mixture can be used for up to 7 days. Sparkle-Dent is safe for soft liners (for 20 mins). Rinse denture thoroughly before replacing in mouth.

CAUTION: Sparkle-dent is not to be taken internally or used in mouth or on natural teeth. Harmful to gold, fabrics, and formica. Wipe up spills immediately. Harmful to eyes. In case of contact with eyes, flush them with water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting, drink large amounts of water. Contact a physician if irritation continues. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN Do not soak partials or dentures containing metal for more than 15 minutes. Please follow soft liner or temporary liner manufacture instructions.

You can use the same solution for an entire week if you clean off any food or debris off your denture and/or partial first. Because Sparkle-dent is a powder, you can use the solution the recommended full strength or half strength.

Use caution with use, Sparkle-dent can be harmful to formica counter tops and to fabrics. We recommend you open your denture cup in the sink in case of an accidental spill or place denture cup over a folded towel. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask the staff from Discovery Denture Center. We would love to hear comments from you.

Take care of your dentures and they will last for many years.

Cleaning and Storing Your Dentures and Partials

We recommend taking your denture and/or partial out before going to bed or sometime during the day to allow your gum tissue to rest and allows for normal stimulation.

Dentures and partials are delicate and can break easily. When handling your denture and/or partial, place over a folded towel or basin of water. Be careful not to drop them, as you can fracture the acrylic (flesh colored part) or damage the teeth. Metal in the partial, especially the clasps can bend or break.

To remove your denture and/or partial, swish mouth with warm, not hot water or mouthwash. To remove the upper, place thumb against front teeth, slowly and gently press upward and outward toward nose. To remove the lower, slowly and gently pull while applying a rocking motion.

Please do not place your denture and/or partial in a napkin, towel or bag. The denture and/or partial will dry out and can loose it's shape. They can also be easily broken or thrown away. Store your denture and/or partial in a container designed for dentures in water or a cleaning solution.

When cleaning your denture and/or partial, do not use hot water, it can cause them to warp and not fit properly. Only use products designed for denture care. Household cleaners, powdered cleaners, many toothpastes and bleach can harm and scratch your denture and/or partial. You can use denture toothpastes, denture cleansing tablets, Sparkle-dent and ultrasonic cleaners. You can also use mild hand soap, mild dishwashing liquid or a solution of half white vinegar and half water.

Use a soft toothbrush or denture brush to clean your denture and/or partial. Hard-bristled brushes can damage the acrylic and teeth. Brushing your denture with a brush help prevents plaque buildup, stains and denture odors. Moisten brush and don't brush too hard, as you could damage the acrylic or metal parts. Always brush your gums, tongue and natural teeth before inserting your denture and/or partial. Metal parts can tarnish if left in a cleaning solution. We recommend fifteen (15) minutes or less for anything containing metal.
